Three Rivers Changes

For nearly two years, Three Rivers has been meeting every other Thursday for worship online. During those two years, a small group of hosts has been intentionally setting a table for this community to take the next steps into becoming a spiritual home that deepens in relationships, discernment, and support of ministry.

Right now we are a worship group under the care of Fresh Pond Monthly Meeting, in Cambridge. For the last several months a committee of accompaniment appointed by Fresh Pond has been prayerfully discerning whether Three Rivers is supposed to become a Preparative Meeting under their care or a fully-fledged Monthly Meeting - flying on our own.

Becoming either a Preparative Meeting or a Monthly Meeting will mean shifting into a new stage in the growth of our body: we will do business together, leadership will expand to include more Friends, we will form committees and other structures to continue to grow and nurture our community. Spring is here and the seeds we have been carefully tending over the last few years are ready to burst forth with the next stage of growth and life.
