Wisdom of Being, ... & Being Human

Prepared message given as part of Three Rivers worship on Zoom, 17 October 2024.

Friends who walked with Mey in readying the message were Melissa Foster, Andrew Grant, Kristina Keefe-Perry, and Jonathan Vogel-Borne.

This message also was seasoned with insights of Friend Jocelyn Burnell, found in her Swarthmore Lecture of 1989, Broken for Life:

" ...[T]he more we have faced pain the more whole we are, and the more capable we are of suffering and of loving. Then our brokenness, made available to God, leads to renewal and recreation. Through our vulnerability we become channels of comfort and consolation. By our faithfulness in rising ourselves we open barriers and enable God's grace to flow in the world.

"Lord, help us to break our lives unto starving humanity."
